Our Team

Scott began serving as a Regional Director in May 2023. Prior to that, he served as Associational Mission Strategist of the South Roanoke Baptist Association in Greenville. Scott also has over 15 years of local church experience, serving in the roles of Associate and Lead Pastor. While in local church and associational ministry, Scott had the privilege of serving on the Baptist State Convention of NC Board of Directors and Executive Committee, along with serving a two-year term as President of the NC Associational Missions Conference.

Scott is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University (B.A.) and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.). He also holds an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) and Certified Christian Financial Counselor (CertCFC) designations. Even though he grew up in Catawba County, he has spent most of his ministry in Eastern NC. Scott is married to Crystal, and they are the parents of two high schoolers. He enjoys sports, fishing, and cheering on his children in their extra-curricular activities. He is an avid Carolina Hurricanes fan and is also a hockey dad. Scott and his family are members of First Baptist Church, Washington.
