CARY, N.C. — Provision Financial Resources proudly celebrates Bill and Carolyn Daniel as the recipients of the 2024 NC Baptist Heritage Award, acknowledging their remarkable dedication and contributions to North Carolina Baptists and their commitment to promoting faithful and wise financial stewardship.
A ceremony held in Matthews, North Carolina on April 23 honored Bill and Carolyn for their significant contributions to Baptists in North Carolina and beyond. The ceremony showcased tributes from several churches impacted by the Daniels. "We especially wanted to thank Bill and Carolyn Daniel. Congratulations on winning the NC Baptist Heritage Award this year," Redeemer Community Church pastors Josh Wredberg and Adam Darnell said in a video message. "It's because of contributions like yours, investments like yours, that a building like ours can be built, and the gospel can go out from here to the ends of the earth for generations to come."
Established in 2001, the NC Baptist Heritage Award celebrates individuals who demonstrate exceptional service and philanthropy within the Baptist community. Previous ceremonies featured multiple recipients from various organizations. However, beginning this year, Provision has transitioned to a singular recognition format, highlighting the outstanding achievements of one exceptional individual or couple.
Bill and Carolyn have been selected as this year's honorees for the pivotal role they have played in shaping the North Carolina Baptist community. As long-standing investors at Provision, they have shown unwavering commitment to fostering growth within various Baptist initiatives through Provision's Impact Certificates Program, endowments, and the establishment of several scholarships to assist students in need.
In addition to their impact through Provision, Bill and Carolyn have provided financial support to the International Mission Board (IMB), the North American Mission Board (NAMB), The Citadel (where Bill is a graduate), and other global gospel-advancing projects.
